Just now, Samsung has made available a new firmware package targeted at its NX30 Smart camera, namely version 1.31, which includes a few changes that improve the overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, this new release only adds compatibility with 50-150mm S lens and resolves the halt issue encountered under RAW+S.Fine settings and continuous Single capture.

Therefore, if you want to make use of these changes, first check the currently installed firmware version in order to make sure it isn’t either newer or matching this release.

If all is ok, save and extract the downloadable archive, copy the .bin file onto an empty memory card (must be formatted using the camera), and insert it into the NX device.

Now go to Menu > Device Information > Software Update > Body Firmware, wait for the new software to be recognized by the camera, select “Yes” at the next screen to agree and initiate the update process, and wait for the device to perform the installation.

Bear in mind that, while the NX unit is applying the new firmware, it will automatically reboot 3 times. As this event is normal, make sure you don’t turn off the power, remove the battery, or disconnect the SD card because it can cause serious device malfunctions.

With this in mind, download Samsung NX30 Camera Firmware 1.31, apply the present software version on your device, and constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest updates.
