It looks like Samsung is not just selling tablets, but also going ahead with its netbooks sales, having now expanded the availability of one model to include Russia, where it sells for roughly 14,000 rubles.

Netbooks have definitely not been going through their most promising of periods, sales-wise, even though they are still growing, more or less.

Of course, as already said on numerous occasions, this is because tablets have been eating their market share.

Samsung itself is partially responsible for this, or soon will be, what with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 now available, availability hiccups or no.

Still, Samsung is not about to completely give up on the low-end laptop market, as made obvious by how the NC215S has now reached Russia.

This product has been selling in Africa for a while now and is powered by the single-core Intel Atom N455 central processing unit.

The GMA (graphics media accelerator) 3150 integrated graphics is the one that handles the 10.1-inch display, whose native resolution is 1,024 x 600 pixels.

Nevertheless, if anything stands out about this device, it is the existence of solar cells on the display lid, which can provide a battery time of up to one hour.

Other specifications include a webcam, USB, WiFi, 10/100 LAN, an SD card slot and 1 GB of RAM (random access memory).

As already mentioned, the product should be selling in Russia for 13,999 rubles, which is the rough equivalent of $496. A 6-cell battery can keep everything running for up to 14 hours (to which the above mentioned extra, sunlight-granted hour is added, when applicable).

Nevertheless, those eager to buy it will have to wait until August, since it is only then that shipments will start. Until that time, prospective buyers can figure out if they want the stronger Atom N570 CPU.
