Samsung is among the more recent players on the netbook market, which means that its NC10 will have a tough time making itself noticed amidst the other netbooks out there. However, the South Korea-based company is wasting no time in marketing its product, which is why it has recently introduced the NC10 netbook to European users.

As you probably already know, the Samsung NC10 is based on basically the same platform as most other products of its kind. It sports the same 1.6GHz Atom processor, and is built on Intel's 945GMS chipset. Furthermore, it delivers 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a maximum of 160GB of storage space, all packed inside a netbook that boasts a 10.2-inch display.

As a distinctive feature, the NC10 has been equipped with an anti-bacterial keyboard coating, although, aside from that, you will pretty much get the same Intel Atom-powered netbook you can also find at various major systems vendors out there.

The Samsung NC10 has already been made available for German users, according to a listing on Amazon.de, which indicates that this small-sized Atom-powered netbook can be equipped with a Windows Vista Operating system. Unfortunately, no pricing details are available at this time – to cap it all off, we’re not even sure that Windows Vista support is a correct feature. However, the listing does confirm that Samsung plans to market its netbook on the European market, so it's only a question of when it will become available for all users here.

As reported last week, netbooks are becoming increasingly popular, a fact confirmed by Amazon.com and its “Bestsellers in Computers and PC Hardware” chart, where 9 out of the top 10 products were regular netbook systems. Moreover, it looks like the Atom-powered devices have the upper hand, as 8 out of the 9 netbooks available on Amazon.com are equipped with Intel's highly successful Atom CPU.
