Samsung has an original marketing idea

With the new innovative online marketing strategies that suffocate the world wide web, companies are continually rethinking new ways of attracting buyers.

After thinking about female interest in mobile communication that resulted in shiny and thin devices, Samsung is preparing a major surprise for another major segment, the teenagers that entertain themselves on the Second life site. The space is going to be used for the launching of the new Samsung mobile phones or better say the residents will actually have a virtual mobile communication store to visit while playing.

Second Life gives the guest the opportunity to imagine, create and own a 3D digital world. The space has an impressive number of residents almost 5.500.000 members and an original database that allows even the teenagers to play in the space without any restrictions.

After the residents create their personal spaces, they have the chance to make new friends, and actually own virtually land. The site offers over 300 pages of tips and a CD full of exclusive information.

Given the information it is not hard to imagine why Samsung picked such a site for their marketing strategy plan. Second Life is packed with teenagers that are obsessed with every type of new gadget, so they will probably run to the nearest Samsung store and buy it.

The company's products are going to be seen the space and even more, the residents will be able to post their personal opinion regarding a certain mobile phone. The good news is that the visitors won't have to pay for the whole Samsung mobile phone experiment.
