South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is getting ready for the launch of a new handset in its Galaxy Note series soon, namely the Galaxy Note III, and some more details on the device are now available.

Apparently, the company has decided to include a 3450mAh battery inside the large Android-based smartphone, a recent article on PhoneArena notes.

Last year’s Galaxy Note II was launched with a 3100mAh battery inside, though the new smartphone is expected to be a bit larger given its 5.7-inch (or 6-inch) screen, which would certainly require some more battery juice.

No specific info on the performance capabilities of the cell has been provided as of now, but all should be announced in the near future. After all, Samsung has already confirmed plans to hold an Unpacked event on September 4 at the IFA 2013 show in Berlin.
