The Samsung Gear Store might be a spinoff of the Samsung App Store

As I have previously reported for the past few months, Samsung is working on a plethora of new Gear devices.

Apparently, offering a product for every tiny little niche that can be found is a strategy that the Korean tech giant has found to be workable and fruitful.

Now, it seems that the device maker is looking to build a place where all its upcoming wearable devices can come together in perfect harmony. SamMobile reports that a trademark for the Gear Store has been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The description explains that the Gear Store is a “computer application software for wearable computer peripherals, wearable computers, wearable mobile phones, smartphone, mobile phones.”

Since apps for the Samsung’s Gear smartwatches are currently being downloaded from the Samsung App Store, the company might be looking to move everything to a dedicated wearable location.

After all, the company is preparing an avalanche of products, so mixing them with smartphones and tablets isn't exactly the best way to go.

So far, we know that Sammy is striving towards launching a standalone smartwatch being capable of placing phone calls on its own. On top of that, an Android Wear device has reportedly been spotted clearing the FCC not so long ago.

But that’s not all, as it appears that the Korean device manufacturer wants to roll out its own answer to Google Glass and a virtual reality headset, on top of everything else.
