South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has just announced that its ChatON messaging service is now available for users all around the world.

Only a few days ago, the company made the new service available for the owners of devices running under Google's Android operating system, after initially releasing it for its bada phones.

Apparently, the service is now available for all users who own a web-enabled mobile phone, offering them the possibility to stay connected with their friends and family at all times.

Through this service, users are capable of communicating in various ways, and are also offered the possibility to share multimedia content and animated messages.

The CatON mobile applications were made available for download for free via the Samsung Apps and through the Android Market portal.

Depending on the platform, these applications are available for download on various devices including the Samsung GALAXY S II.

The app also comes pre-loaded on the handset vendor's bada devices, and will be loaded on select feature phones from the company starting with this month. Before the end of 2011, the service and application will be released for other platforms as well.

Among the unique features that ChatON arrives on devices with, we can count the fact that it enables users create their own animated messages by hand-writing text, adding audio, and even choosing the background picture.

Moreover, users will benefit on each conversation window from a Trunk, which was designed to keep track of all multimedia items sent and received.

Since the service is available on multiple platforms, users will be able to join in, while also having the possibility to share content in multiple formats. Regardless the device used, people will be able to stay connected at all times.

Users will also be able to benefit from an interactive experience via the ChatON micro site. An HD movie will guide them through the main features of the service, so as to ensure a better understanding of the software.
