A new Android smartphone targeted at young audiences

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has made official the GALAXY Young smartphone, a new device aimed at younger audiences.

The new handset will arrive on shelves in white, deep blue, wine red and metallic silver color flavors, while running under Google’s Android operating system.

The new device will arrive on shelves with a 3.27-inch HVGA TFT touchscreen display on the front, while packing a 1 GHz processor inside, 768MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Running under Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the smartphone also packs 4GB of internal storage, a microSD memory card slot, 3MP camera on the back, and a Li-ion 1,300 mAh battery inside.

It also sports Wi-Fi Direct, Samsung Game Hub Lite, S Cloud, Motion UI. Samsung will launch it in both single and dual-SIM flavors, depending on the market. No info on the phone’s landing or pricing has been provided.
