14 DAY TRIAL // This new Pixon, called the M8800, seems to be a dream come true to most Americans who have been longing for better and better 8 Megapixel camera phones since they have first started appearing. And this model is definitely not a disappointment, especially considering the fact that it's a highly advanced mobile phone including a fantastic digital camera.
[ADMARk=1]The device is already said to become one of the iPhone 3G fierce competitors mostly due to the best touchscreen interface Samsung has ever placed on a mobile and also thanks to its good looks.
This Samsung offers plenty of features. The camera, besides delivering spectacular photos using the 3264x2448 pixel resolution, comes with autofocus, auto-panorama shot, face, smile and blink detection, advanced shake reduction. A secondary video call camera has been included. The 3.2'' QVGA(240x400pixels) 256K color TFT touchscreen is wonderfully combined with the camera capabilities and other functions that require a well built and balanced display.
The M8800 also comes with USB v2.0 microUSB and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, plus other useful functions, like built-in GPS, geo-tagging feature, the MP4, MP3 and windows Media Player complete with surround sound system, the TV-out capability. Usual specs have been included: FM radio, Java MIDP 2.0 and Office like programs.
The Pixon will allow users to store plenty of information, not through its 200MB of internal memory, but through its up to 8GB card slot.
Considering all these and the fact that it measures 107.9 x 54.6 x 13.8 and weighs 121 g, it's obvious such a mobile phone is more than worth taking a closer look at.
The information released so far indicates that the device is set to go to AT&T, running on the American 3G 1900 and 850 HSDPA 7.2 MBPS network, but there is no price tag available.
