There is no rest for the legally troubled, apparently, as Samsung is learning right now, after it ended up losing another court action, this time against a graduate of Korea's Hongik University.
According to
this report, the court ruled that Samsung had, indeed, committed copyright infringement by refusing to attribute a certain design element of its Zipel refrigerators to him.
Apparently, though it was Lee Jong-gil that came up with the flower pattern, Samsung marketed it as designed by Kerb Little, a renowned designer.
As such, Samsung will have to pay the man 30 million won, which is the same as $27,200 or 19,431 Euro.
This report comes after Samsung
failed to ban Apple's iPhone 4S in Italy and was forbidden to sell the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany and Australia, though
an appeal is incoming.
