The Atom Z2580 might be used instead of an ARM processor

I have written about the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet multiple times so far, alongside the Tab 3 8.0, but now a report published through Reuters opens a new can of worms.

Long story short, it is believed that, rather than an ARM processor of some sort, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet will use an Intel chip instead.

Specifically, the slate will use the Intel Clover Trail Atom Z2580. Or at least there will be one version with the CPU, while an ARM-powered model will sell alongside it.

The x86 tablet would still run Android though, unlike the Ativ line that gets Microsoft's Windows OS.

Samsung may or may not formally release the tablet, or tablets, before the media event scheduled on June 20.

I'm quite certain that more leaks will happen between now and then though, so we'll know for sure if an Intel-powered Tab 3 10.1 is really on the way by then. Probably.
