Samsung Electronics launches a new series of mobile phones, Samsung Anycall MusiCall, and brings two music handsets to begin with: Samsung Anycall F218 and Samsung Anycall F338. The real music phones were presented at the Hong Kong Art Center during an event that included live performances from music stars like Kary Ng and Justin Cheng.

The first phone, Samsung F218, is a tri-band 900/1800/1900MHz GSM device packed with lots of music and media features. Following the sleek MP3 Player-like design of the Juke F200 and X830 models the new Samsung has a 180 degrees rotating double-sided interface and a 360 degrees navigation key to offer the best music control functions. It measures 87.8 x 31 x 20.5 millimeters, weighs 72 grams and is available in two colors, Jazz blue and Rock purple. The handset has a Music Player that supports MP3, AAC, e-ACC, AAC+ and WMA, FM radio and a 1GB built-in memory, as well as microSD card support for up to 2GB of total memory. Other cool specifications include a 2.0 Megapixel camera, NetFront Browser 3.4, Stereo Headset, Bluetooth, EDGE / GPRS, USB and so on.

The second Anycall MusiCall phone, Samsung F338, brings 3.5G capabilities and excellent music features combined in a nicely designed slider case. The phone comes with a One Touch Music Hot Key, enabling users to access all their favorite songs instantly, and a multi-format Music Player featuring a Dedicated Music User Interface for easy navigation. There's microSDHC support for a maximum of 4GB available memory and a 2.0 Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and VGA, complimenting the 2.1 inch 240 x 320 pixel TFT display. Samsung F338 also offers Background Music Play Mode, FM Radio, NetFront Browser 3.4, RSS reader, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0.

While Samsung F218 has a suggested retail price of 2,580 Hong Kong Dollars (meaning about 330 USD), the price of the F338 model is unknown yet. But it should be a higher one, first of all due to the 3G capabilities.

All in all, we can only be glad that Samsung keeps on bringing cool music phones. And we're waiting for other Anycall MusiCall models, to have more options to pick from when in need of a good music handset.
