South Korean-based mobile phone maker Samsung, a worldwide leader in phone and telecommunication equipment, announced recently that it had launched its new stylish and sleek slider phone, the Samsung C3053, on the Middle Eastern market. According to the company, the new device includes all the features necessary for it to be a great companion for any user.

“The C3053 is another manifestation of Samsung’s willingness to pair elegance and efficiency with affordability and reliability. The style and design of the phone make it the perfect accessory for those who want a trendy and sleek new gadget without having to sacrifice some of the fun and essential features,” stated Mr. Sandeep Saihgal, general manager of mobile phones at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

The new Samsung C3053 comes with a 2.0-inch TFT display that offers support for 65,000 colors, as well as with a slim and compact design, while also delivering a superior ergonomic grip. The mobile phone also includes an internal memory of 60MB, coupled with a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space of up to 8GB, providing enough memory for those who would like to carry with them their favorite songs or photos.

The specification list of the new Samsung handset also shows built-in VGA photo snapper that sports video recording capabilities, a music player, support for FM Radio, and an organizer. Moreover, the device also includes quad-band GSM connectivity, as well as support for GPRS support and EDGE data technology, along with Bluetooth v.2.0 connectivity, Bluetooth messenger and USB 2.0 slot.

According to Samsung, all the features of the new C3053, coupled with the competitive price tag it comes with, are meant to prove that the handset is a great option for those in need of both mobility and functionality. At the same time, the company also announced that the new slider is available for purchase “at all major electronics outlets in the Middle East” for $105, though the actual price might differ from market to market.

Sound clarity is good even when talking via headset.
Music is excellent when heared via headphones than on speaker.
Camera image quality is not that good.

Recently purchased this phone in the UAE, good model for myself who just like to make calls, send texts, and listen to mp3 music/radio.
Sound quality is good via the handset but much better whilst using the headset. camera image is basic, however most people have a digital camera anyways. I have been able to view images transfered to the phone via bluetooth up to 2mpxl.
basically it is a good phone for the price and definately looks good if you like slide phones and want a change from your current mobile.
Overall nice small phone and easy to use.
