Samsung Launches Galaxy S4 Zoom in Romania

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics officially announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom in Romania, the first such device on the local market to pack 10x optical zoom capabilities.

Available starting today at around €500 ($660), the new handset offers appealing imaging capabilities, courtesy of a 16-megapixel photo snapper packed on its back, which also makes it look more like a camera than an actual smartphone.

The handset sports a 4.3-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution, along with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, and 1.5GB of RAM to complement it.

Galaxy S4 Zoom also features 8GB of internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Infrared port, and microUSB port.

The main selling point of the smartphone, however, remains its 16-megapixel photo snapper with auto-focus, which also sports Xenon flash, 1/2.33'' sensor size, 10x optical zoom (24-240mm), optical image stabilization, HDR, panorama, and full HD video recording capabilities.

There is also a front camera for making video calls packed on this handset, along with a Li-Ion 2330 mAh battery, GPS receiver, active noise cancellation, and 50GB of Dropbox storage for users to enjoy.

Running under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the smartphone also comes with a great deal of unique features from Samsung, all designed to deliver one of the best camera experiences that a smartphone can offer.
