Samsung Launches Bang & Olufsen Serenata Phone

Second stylish Bang & Olufsen release from Samsung

The Samsung Bang & Olufsen Serenata mobile phone has been finally officially announced for a release. The device is supposed to be a fashion statement, music player and cellular at the same time.

Above all, this handset is a stylish accessory and

a perfect match for its user's elegance. Secondly, it is supposed to be a great music phone, as the iPod-like touch-sensitive scroll wheel shows. The Samsung Bang & Olufsen Serenata handset will be a 3G enabled one, for fast music file transfers. Moreover, it will come with 4GB of memory through the built-in flash and will be capable of playing various media file types. The EarSet 3 earphones manage to connect the phone to a hi-fi as an auxiliary source.

"Serene is the result of our vision to constantly push the boundaries of mobile phone development and bring to our customers unique and exciting products", said Kitae Lee, President of the Telecommunications Business at Samsung Electronics. Moreover, "We wanted Serene to become a precious item, an item that is a personal expression of quality and convenience. The coherence to other Bang & Olufsen products is experienced through the design and a very simple user operation", added Torben Ballegaard S�rensen, CEO of Bang & Olufsen.

Serene comes equipped with a triangular charger/docking station made in polished anodized aluminum with a special design to match the phone's style. When the handset is attached to this accessory it can be used as a mini-laptop as the display can turn 180 degrees for perfectly adapting to the user's needs.

Serene will be released in Russia and Ukraine, along with some other European countries during the 4th quarter of this year. It will be distributed through Bang & Olufsen stores and through some select high-end Samsung distribution partners. Its price will be of approximately 1100 Euros with a special Bang & Olufsen DECT accessory included and in Samsung retailer partners for about 1000 Euros, without the accessory.
