The update is only available via Samsung Kies desktop software

It appears that Samsung has just started to roll out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S II. However, the update is currently available in Russia, but more countries will get it as well.

According to the folks over at Sammyhub, Android 4.0.4 ICS for Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100) is now available for download in Russia via Samsung Kies desktop software.

Rumor has it that Galaxy S II owners in other regions will get the update in the following weeks, though there is no exact release date for the moment.

Those who already flashed the new update report new Russian applications have been included, along with some overall performance improvements.
