The flagships will have a metal frame with glass panels

We’ve been talking about the Samsung Galaxy S6 quite a lot for the past few months. That’s usually what happens when device makers are gearing up to launch an important product.

Samsung is expected to unveil its next flagship in a month or so at MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Since Sammy has unveiled its full metal-clad Galaxy A smartphone series not so long ago, we’ve been hoping the Galaxy S6 will get the same treatment, being a flagship and all.

Say goodbye to your hopes of seeing an all-metal Galaxy S6

Sadly, this appears not to be the case, as a report coming from G for Games claims that Sammy’s upcoming top-tier will take advantage of a metal frame covered by glass panels on the back and front side. If the design sounds familiar, it’s because the same applies for the current Galaxy Note 4.

On top of that, the Galaxy S6 will arrive with a non-removable battery.

However, Samsung wants to make it for not offering a full-metal flagship, so the report is saying good old Sammy will make sure the Galaxy S6 is more appealing than the Galaxy A series. Hopefully, the flagship will boast innovative features and will be prettier overall.

The Galaxy A family is, after all, a mid-range line of devices, priced in such a way that it can appeal to customers who aren’t necessarily looking for a premium handset.

MWC 2015 will be a busy stage for multiple iconic smartphone manufacturers around the world. The event is expected to host the unveiling of multiple flagships including the HTC Hima and Sony Xperia Z4.

So Samsung will have to come prepared with something really disruptive and cutting-edge to capture the attention away from the competition’s products.

At MWC, the Korean tech giant is also expected to bring a Galaxy S6 variant, which boasts a double edged display.
