Korean handset manufacturer Samsung has announced the availability of the Nori F2, which is built on the success of the original Nori launched back in August 2010

The handset can be purchased only in Korea for 300,000 won (about $277) at SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ stores.

The Nori lineup debuted in South Korea last year and comprises of three feature-phones: Nori, Nori F and Nori F2.

Specifically designed for Asia, Samsung Nori F2 (SHW-A280), comes in three flashy color versions: White, Charcoal Grey and Pink.

Unlike the original Nori, which features a bar form factor, the new Nori F2 is a clamshell and comes with the usual LED illumination feature that was so specific to the entire lineup.

However, the LED illumination feature of the F2 was improved and allows users to customize 7 different colored lights to signal an incoming call or SMS according to their preferences.

As a reminder, the original Samsung Nori also came with something unique, as users could customize the phone with eight different characters adhesive films that helped creating a distinct identity.

In terms of hardware, Nori F2 doesn't impress at all, as its main purpose is to attract customers with its colorful design.

The clamshell sports a 3-inch display, a mediocre 3-megapixel camera, T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting), camera motion sensing games, Bluetooth connectivity, SOS function and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

Targeting youngsters, Nori F2 is sure to make enough 'victims' among teenagers who are looking to impress by showing off their phone.

Obviously, there's no chance for the Europeans youngsters to get their hands on this one as the phone seems to be restricted to South Korea.

However, there's a slight chance that the Nori F2 will be available in other Asian countries. Currently, Samsung’s Nori F is available in Hong Kong.
