Available for prices ranging between Rs 7,800-19,900

Samsung has just announced the upcoming availability of Galaxy Y, Wave 3 and Omnia W smartphones in India.

Unveiled back in August, Samsung Galaxy Y is a mid-budget smartphone, which is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and the company's proprietary TouchWiz user interface.

The handset comes with a 3.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 262k colors support and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

The Galaxy Y features a standard bar form factor and measures 104 x 58 x 11.5 mm. It is equipped with an 800 MHz processor and sports a mediocre 2-megapixel photo snapper on back.

Among the connectivity options offered by the phone there's HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and HS support, as well as built-in GPS receiver.

Samsung Galaxy Y is expected to hit shelves sometime this week for a suggested retail price of Rs 7,800 (about $158 or 119 EUR).

The first smartphone to be delivered with bada 2.0 operating system on board, Samsung Wave 3 features a brilliant 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The device is powered by a single core 1.4 GHz processor and runs bada 2.0 OS with TouchWiz user interface on top.

The Wave 3 packs 3GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32 GB), a 5-megapixel main camera with LED flash and autofocus, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Samsung Wave 3 will be available for Indian customers beginning next month for a suggested retail price of Rs 19,600 (about $398 or 298 EUR).

Last, but not least, the Omnia W, Samsung's first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone will be delivered with a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The handset is equipped with a single core 1.4 GHz processor and packs 8GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM.

According to Samsung, the Omnia W is expected to arrive in stores sometime next month for Rs 19,900 (about $404 or 303 EUR).
