Samsung quietly listed on its site on Tuesday a series of four new handsets, all of which seem to come with nice audio capabilities. Two of the new handhelds, Samsung S6700 and Samsung C5510, feature a sliding form factor and appear to have mid-range capabilities, while the other two, Samsung M2510 and Samsung M2310, are rather affordable music devices.
The Samsung S6700 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen that offers support for up to 16 million colors, and includes a 3-megapixel photo snapper that sports auto focus and LED flash. In addition, the device also includes support for quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS (with HSDPA 3.6Mbps), as well as 120MB of internal memory, coupled with a microSD memory card slot that provides support for up to 16GB of additional storage space. The mobile phone has a built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The second new slider in Samsung's offering is the C5510, which comes with a 2.2-inch LCD display that boasts a QVGA resolution and support for 16 million colors. At the same time, the device has a 2-megapixel photo snapper, Bluetooth v2.1 connectivity, USB v2.0 port, support for quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS, as well as a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space that offers support for up to 16GB on a single card.
The third new handset from the South Korean mobile phone maker, the Samsung M2510, features a 2.2-inch TFT QCIF display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm standard audio jack, and DNSe audio enhancement technology. Moreover, the fresh phone has quad-band GSM support (no 3G), and a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 8GB of additional storage space.
The Samsung M2310 has a clamshell design, features a 2-inch Q-QVGA internal display that boasts a 120 x 160 pixel resolution, and a 1.06-inch secondary screen with a 96 x 96 pixel resolution. The handheld also includes a VGA camera, as well as support for quad-band GSM, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 9MB of internal memory and microSD memory card slot with support for up to 8GB on a single card.
Unfortunately, there are no details on the period the phones will become available on the market, nor on the price tags they might feature.
