Samsung Illusion made its appearance several times over the past few weeks, but details about its specs sheet were pretty scarce until recently.

It looks like the folks over at AndroidCentral have just received in their mailbox a screenshot taken from Verizon Infocenter that reveals Samsung Illusion's full specs sheet.

According to the leaked document, Samsung Illusion should run Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. No surprise here.

Design-wise, the Samsung Illusions comes with a touch bar curved form factor, which strongly resembles the Nexus S smartphone. It measures 114.4 x 59.9 x 11.7mm, but its weight has yet to be determined.

In this regard, Verizon Wireless believes that “smartphone owners will appreciate Illusion's compact design, rounded corners and textured soft-touch back; it feels good in hand and fits easily in a pocket or bag.”

Not among the most powerful smartphones in the market, the Illusion is equipped with a 1 GHz single core Samsung Hummingbird processor, which promises not to slow users down.

Furthermore, the phone packs 2 GB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The carrier also confirms that the Samsung Illusion will be delivered with a free 2GB memory card in the sales package.

Samsung Illusion comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 16 million colors and 480 x 320 pixels resolution.

On the back, the phone features an average 3-megapixel camera with D1 recording capabilities, but no other fancy options have been included.

Additional customization options for the phone are available via Android Market, whereas the virtual keyboard included makes sure that users can type fast and accurate.

There is no information on the phone's price, but this one should go for under $100 (73 EUR) with two-year contract.

Rumor has it that the smartphone is expected to hit shelves at Verizon Wireless “this month.”
