Galaxy Note, Samsung’s largest smartphone last year, has sold over 10 million units all around the world so far, a success that should be shadowed by that of its successor, the Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung’s JK Shin reportedly said recently that the company is expecting sales of the second Note smartphone to top 20 million, twice as much as the original.

The Galaxy Note 2 phablet was unveiled to the world last month at the IFA 2012 show in Berlin, and is expected to hit shelves in October this year.

The mobile phone packs a 1.6GHz quad-core application processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED Display, a bit larger than the 5.3-inch screen on the original Galaxy Note.

The new handset also sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 1.9MP camera on the front, NFC capabilities, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3100mAh battery inside. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
