It looks like the two are still at each other's figurative throats

Samsung and LG were supposed to have reached an agreement to drop their feud, but it seems they didn't really get around to actually doing it, or they were never going to, except in some areas.

Then again, the supposed out-of-court arrangement happened before Samsung sued LG again, saying it damaged its brand strength.

Given those things, we aren't really surprised to learn that LG continues to claim that Samsung stole its OLED technology.

Never mind that. Not too long ago, Samsung made a very similar claim, that LG had infringed on some OLED technology from it (it was among the dropped injunction requests).

As Yonhap News more broadly covers, Samsung is the one on the receiving end of the swift hand of the law.

Of course, it's all part of procedure: since LG claims its rival stole from it, the police had to act to verify the claims.

The act, it turns out, was a raid (though it might be too strong a word) on Samsung's headquarters, the Samsung Display HQ in Asan to be precise (Asan, South Korea), by Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency investigators.

Curiously enough, LG said the police made all the allegations themselves, assuming that some LG partners may have leaked secrets.

Needless to say, a Samsung spokesperson denied any and all involvement, and if previous lawsuits and conspiracy cases are any indications, nothing is bound to come out of this, except for a lot of arguments between the companies and, eventually, a settlement of some sort.

Granted, LG and Samsung may push things all the way and battle it out in court, but that will take years and really won't affect consumers much, if at all. OLED TVs and gadgets equipped with small screens will be around and will crop up more and more often regardless of this latest alleged theft/patent infringement spat.
