14 DAY TRIAL // As we've mentioned several times up until now, Samsung brought quite an impressive product lineup at CES 2011, including here two new additions to its Full HD pocket camcorder lineup, namely the HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 models.
Following in the footsteps of the HMX-E10 pocket camcorder from Samsung, the new HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 deliver Full, 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second, while also being able to provide 8M Pixel (HMX-P300) and 5M Pixel (HMX-P100) still image capture.
The new pocket camcorders feature 3x Optical Zoom (the P300) and 1x zoom (the P100), while controls are available via the 3-inch or 2.3-inch 230K pixel Touch LCD screens fitted on Samsung's new pocket camcorders.
Additional features shared by both models include Face detection, Smart Auto, Record Pause, USB charging, Intelli-Studio 2.0 and a One-Touch sharing feature.
“The HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 are the perfect point-and-share camcorders for customers who get as much enjoyment in sharing their videos as they do from capturing them,” said Mr. Hyunho Chung, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Imaging Business, Samsung Electronics.
“Sharing our videos with friends and family through social networking sites and blogs is one of the great pleasures in capturing live footage, and we’ve used the latest Samsung technology to make this easier than ever,” Mr. Chung added.
“These point-and-share camcorders are ideal for anyone who has a busy lifestyle, but still enjoys capturing and sharing eye-catching moments on-the-go. They’re small and stylish enough for you to want to take everywhere,” concluded Samsung's rep.
Luckily, pricing and availability details have been provided for both of Samsung's new pocket camcorders, the HMX-P300 being set to arrive in stores in March, in titan black, silver, white and pink color options for US$199, while the HMX-P100, set to be available in black, silver, blue and pink, will hit the shelves in February for 149 US dollars.
