Canadian carrier Videotron has just added the Samsung Gravity Touch to its portfolio. The feature-phone is now available for as low as $49.95 on a 'reduced price' or $199.95 off-contract.

Also known as Samsung T669 Gravity, the mid-budget feature-phone launched via T-Mobile USA in June is now available for Canadian customers living in Quebec.

Videotron is the fourth carrier that picks Samsung's Gravity Touch slider, after the Bell, Virgin Mobile and Mobilicity have added the phone to their offerings.

The handset features a slide-out form factor and comes with a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen that supports 262K colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

In addition, the slider features accelerometer sensor and turn-to-mute function, and runs Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz 2.0 UI.

The phone's strong point is the full sliding QWERTY keyboard, as well as the numerous messaging capabilities.

It measures 110 x 56.6 x 15 mm and weighs around 120g (including battery). The Gravity Touch is powered by a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 4 hours of talk time.

Potential customers who intend to purchase a phone with good quality camera should know that the Gravity Touch doesn't really qualifies for it, as it embeds a sub-par 2.0-megapixel photo snapper with 3x zoom and video recording capabilities.

With only 50MB of internal memory on board, the slider surely needs additional storage space via its microSD card slot (expandable up to 16GB, 2GB memory card included).

The handset fully supports HSPA AWS 1700 MHz, 2100 MHz (Bands I and IV) and offers users multiple connectivity options such as: Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS support, Push Email and Social networking integration.

According to Samsung, the Gravity Touch is equipped with a low-performance 184 MHz processor and comes bundled with document viewer.
