South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has just launched a new device on the market in India, the new Windows Mobile-based Giorgio Armani device. The handset comes with a stylish design, and is the result of a new collaboration between Samsung and Giorgio Armani. Unveiled officially back in October 2009, the new mobile phone comes with a tilting display, great usability and a distinctive and elegant bronze gold color, the handset vendor notes.

The new device is the third that comes to the market as a result of the partnership between Samsung and Giorgio Armani. The first of them was launched in 2007, the Giorgio Armani Samsung mobile, while the second landed in 2008 as the Emporio Armani Samsung Night Effect. The new handset is powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, and Samsung notes that it is actually one of the first devices to have been announced with this platform flavor on board.

The new Giorgio Armani-Samsung smartphone features 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 5.76Mbps HSUPA and Wi-Fi connectivity options, a full-touch display, a QWERTY keyboard, Push e-mail capabilities with Microsoft Exchange, advanced Internet navigation, and fast access to a wide range of applications and services, including the free My Phone service or the Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

The handset also includes a 3.5-inch ultra brilliant AMOLED touchscreen display that Samsung says is a great option when it comes to viewing videos, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, GPS navigation capabilities, a 5-megapixel camera, a music player and a video player, and other features more. It seems that the phone is set to arrive on shelves during the next week, sporting a price tag of around Rs. 30,000.

This latest-generation mobile masterfully combines our experience in technology with a design from one of the world’s best known designers, and the functions offered by Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. What’s more, the Giorgio Armani-Samsung smart phone is a demonstration of our commitment to offering customers cutting-edge technology in our products, along with exclusive design and fashion.”
