Samsung Gear S gets a few new fashionable wristbands

Samsung’s Gear S smartwatch is quite a fancy beast. Back at IFA 2014 last week, we saw the watch for the first time in its normal format, as well as with the Swarovski strap, which was especially designed for the watch by the jewel maker.

Well, Samsung seems to have developed a wide taste for fashion, so it’s taking on the catwalk at the New York Fashion Week boasting custom Diesel straps from the Black and Gold collection.

Internally, the smartwatch remains the same, but the wearable now takes advantage of a real leather band, which arrives in a variety of colors and styles.

Customers will be able to grab it in red, black or white leather. You can notice from the pictures that some of the models come equipped with metal studs too, which give off a more punk/grudge vibe.

If you can’t remember, I’ll tell you Samsung just launched its latest smartwatch, the Gear S, which arrives with a curved AMOLED display and offers 360 x 480 pixel resolution.

Unlike the previous Gear Live, this wearable runs Samsung’s own Tizen platform and not Android Wear. Anyway, Samsung wasn’t the only one present at the New York fashion event, showing off its wearables.

Chip giant Intel was also present at the event with its MICA luxury bracelet, which we have to say looks quite exquisite.
