Samsung is trying to appeal to all fashionistas out there

Samsung is known for some of its fancier partnerships. For example, at some point in the past, the tech giant had designer Juun J. create two innovative prestige slink leather covers for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

Well, if you like big, shiny and expensive things better, you will be glad to know that Samsung has partnered up once more with distinguished Swarovski brand in order to bring some high-class to its newest Gear S smartwatch.

Yes, Samsung has recognized the need to make its smartwatches more stylish, because let’s face it – street fashion is a big deal today, as thousands of blogs and dedicated website tend to prove it.

Samsung and Swarovski aren't new friends, as the two companies have been playing nice together since the advent of the “Swarovski for Samsung” campaign that kick started a while ago.

The latest products in the category were a bunch of exclusive collections of crystal-studded accessories for the company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S5 handset (plus the Gear Fit).

Now, the same treatment will be applied to the Gear S, which is receiving a new, illustrious accessory inlaid with expensive crystals.

The strap takes advantage of Swarovski’s new “Crystal Fine Mesh” which made a debut in July of last year. With this new technique, the gem-maker is able to embed its fancy crystals directly onto the metal mesh of chatons, so the overall effect is one of fluidity, which brings about a more aesthetic look.

The luxury Gear S strap will be available from Samsung’s own webshop starting this October. Naturally, the tech giant has chosen to keep us in the dark when it comes to price, but make no mistake we’re going to have a big surprise when the time comes to find out what that is.

Samsung appears to have found a way to compete with upcoming products such as HP’s luxury timepiece. It’s still amazing how the Korean tech giant manages to find a workaround to penetrate every consumer segment out there.

Anyway, for those who made it to the party late, the Gear S is Samsung’s newest addition to the smartwatch family.

As opposed to the previous Gear Live, it runs the company’s own Tizen platform and comes bundled with 3G connectivity. This means that owners will be able to place phone calls from their wrists without the need of a smartphone.

The watch has a 2-inch Super AMOLED curved display, and coupled with the Swarovski strap, it looks quite gorgeous. Pity you’ll have to pay quite a lot to get one.
