It’s still summer, but retailers are already planning ahead for Christmas. After all, how can you expect to boost your sales in the holiday quarter if you’re not willing to put some thought into it?

UK shopping giant Currys and PC World has posted their annual 10 Christmas Gadget list, which reveals that wearables are the rock stars of the season, The Telegraph reports.

According to them, the holiday season is going to see increased demand for the Samsung Gear Fit fitness bracelet. This is a fitness tracking product, competing with products such as the Fitbit Force and Garmin Forerunner 15, which take up number two and three, respectively.

The prediction makes sense, considering how many of us vow to take up a healthier way of living, when stepping in a new year. And maybe purchasing a health-centric wearable device will stir us into the right direction.

According to the retailer, people are more and more interested in fitness and ways of leading a healthy, more active life. And the Samsung Gear Fit is a product that might help sustain such positive habits.

Strangely enough, smartwatches aren't as popular as fitness trackers. Only the highly hyped Moto 360 made it to the top 10 and reached the last position. Other gadgets included in the Currys top were the iPad mini, Chromecast and GoPro Action camera.
