Shortly after Samsung announced the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit (two smartwatches and one fitness band) in the US, the Korean tech giant is now unleashing the new products on the Indian market.

They will be available alongside the Galaxy S5 smartphone in the country, starting April 11, so those excited about grabbing one will have to wait a little bit, before doing so.

As for pricing, the Gear Fit will become available for Rs. 15,900 / $264 / €192, with the Gear 2 Neo available for the same price. The more expensive of the triad, the Samsung Gear 2 will ship for Rs. 21,900 / $364 / €264 (via Tech2).

The Samsung Gear Fit is marketed as one of the “world’s first” wearable device boasting a curved Super AMOLED touch display and will act as a fitness-tracking companion. Just yesterday we told you a few interesting details about the wearable.

Unlike all its other wearables that take advantage of either the Tizen or Android platform, it turns out Samsung uses a real-time operating system dubbed RTOS on the Gear Fit.

RTOS is a simple platform designed to tackle a finite list of specific tasks and to provide accurate data, which is absolutely necessary when it comes to a fitness band.

The negative part about Sammy using this particular OS, is that developers won’t be able to contribute with apps to the Gear Fit, nor will an SDK be released.

As for specifications the Gear Fit has a 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display with a 432 x 128 pixel resolution and embeds a pedometer, heart rate monitor and sleep monitor. Other built-in functions include a fitness app, exercise mode, stopwatch, schedule, smart relay and media controller.

The Gear Fit can also receive notifications and alerts for when you received SMS, calls, emails and such.

Moving on to the Gear 2, the smartwatch has a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display, a 2MP autofocus camera and is boasts a metal body. The Gear 2 is IP67 certified which means the watch is dust and water resistant. Other drawing points of the product are the accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, IrLED and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Gear 2 Neo is pretty similar to the Gear 2, but it does not have a camera. The device is also capable of measuring exercise, sleep and stress levels, like its more expensive brother. Samsung says the Gear 2 Neo should last up to 6 days of regular use.
