Three UK confirmed it would carry the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 a day ago, but the operator did not reveal any details regarding the phone’s pricing options of availability date.

Although we don’t have all the info just yet, Three UK has just put the Galaxy mini 2 on its “Coming Soon” page with an availability timeline, April.

Samsung officially announced that the Galaxy mini 2 would be initially available in France in March. The Korean company also confirmed the smartphone would be rolled out globally shortly after it hits shelves in France.

According to the latest hearsay, Brits will be getting the Galaxy mini 2 immediately after Android enthusiasts living in France, but this has yet to be confirmed.

In the same news, the other Galaxy family smartphone officially introduced by Samsung yesterday, the Galaxy Ace 2 will hit shelves in the UK in April as well.

Even though we don’t have any info on the Galaxy mini 2 price tag, we can safely assume that this affordable Android smartphone will be available for free on select plans.

Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is the rightful successor of the Galaxy mini and comes with a better processor, a larger display and more memory.

The smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and runs Samsung TouchWiz user interface on top.

The Galaxy mini 2 sports a decent 3.27-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

On the inside, the phone is packed with an 800 MHz single-core processor, 4GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also a 3-megapixel rear camera with video recording, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. The phone also offers HSDPA and microUSB connectivity, along with accelerometer and proximity sensors.
