Several hours have passed since Samsung announced its new Galaxy phones and Three UK has already confirmed that it will carry the Galaxy W.

Introduced earlier along with the Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro, this seems to be the best of the four.

It seems that Three UK is always among the first European operators that confirms newly launched devices, either it's Samsung, HTC, Nokia, LG or Sony Ericsson.

The latest on the list, the Galaxy W will soon be available at Three UK with Google's Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform on board.

Commenting on the phone's capabilities, Sylvia Chind wrote on Three UK's official blog:

The thing that really stands out for me on the Galaxy W is its speed. Running on a 1.4GHz processor, the smartphone is one of the fastest devices in our portfolio. It’s great at navigation, web browsing and using lots of apps at the same time.”

Indeed, the Samsung Galaxy W is equipped with a powerful 1.4GHz processor, allowing for a faster web browsing and multitasking experiences.

In addition, the smartphone features a large 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the device sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.

The Galaxy W has a cool design and a 5MP camera which is great for those wanting to take loads of photos on an ultra-portable phone,” added Sylvia Chind.

Samsung Galaxy W packs a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

There are no details regarding the phone's price options or launch date, but Three UK will probably release additional information in due time.
