Just a few days ago, we told you about the possibility of Samsung working to bring to the market a Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 version bundling an AMOLED display and today we get more proof that this is indeed the case.

But first to refresh your memory. Last week, we brought you news that Samsung Hungary claimed that a new Galaxy Tab 8.4-inch version equipped with a Super AMOLED display would be arriving in the country in June.

Compared to the model we saw at CES 2014 in January that boasted a TFT LCD display, this tablet was said to be one of the long-awaited AMOLED tablets that Samsung was supposedly working on for a while now.

Now going further back in time, a mysterious slate going by the model number SM-T805 was spotted in a UAProf listing earlier this month and later on got its Bluetooth SIG certification.

After a few weeks, it was finally confirmed that the SM-T805 was indeed an AMOLED tablet coming with a 2560 x 1600 display in Wi-Fi and LTE flavors. So, combining the two sets of information that we had, it made sense to ask whether SM-T805 could be the upcoming Galaxy TabPRO 8.4.

It appears that the answer to the question is no, the two are two different models. That makes sense, since we’re expecting Samsung to roll out AMOLED tablets with 8-inch and 10-inch screens. So here we have the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 and another tablet, possibly with a larger display.

Anyway, for those doubting the existence of the AMOLED Galaxy TabPRO 8.4, we have fresh proof that the device is a reality. A new tablet bearing the model number SM-T700 has surfaced in the GFXBench database and guess what? It has an 8.4-inch screen, a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and the excellent pixel density of 359ppi.

This is the same pixel density we have seen in the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 that has been unveiled at CES 2014. For the sake of comparison, the Apple iPad mini with Retina Display has a pixel density of only 324ppi.

Other specifications are also visible in the listing, so we can tell you that the Samsung SM-T700 will be drawing power from an octa-core Exynos 5 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz (four ARM Cortex A15 and four ARM Cortex A7 cores) combined with big.LITTLE technology for superior power efficiency.

The tablet will be fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. In the photography department, Sammy will be adding a 7MP main shooter and a 2MP on the back. Last but not least, the slate will run Android KitKat 4.4.2 out of the box.

We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty excited to get our hands on one of these tablets.
