Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Now Official with Android 3.2 Honeycomb

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung went official with two new Android-based mobile devices at the IFA 2011 conference in Berlin, Germany, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet PC was one of them.

This is the first tablet PC from the company to include a Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, a 7.7-inch panel that can deliver a 1280×800 pixel resolution.

Based on Google's Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system, the new device would prove a great successor for the company's original Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet PC, which went official a year ago.

The specifications list of Samsung's new tablet includes support for HSPA+ 21 Mbps networks, complemented by Wi-Fi capabilities, and LTE connectivity options.

“Boasting premium credentials, the GALAXY Tab 7.7 offers a number of features to provide a superior mobile experience,” the mobile phone maker notes.

Some of these features would include:

- Superior Super AMOLED Plus display: wider and clearer, ultra-vivid screen; proven to be the preferred touch screen technology for smartphone users

- Broadest usage and customization: widest variety of applications, games and content to create personalized tablets for each user

The new device is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core application processor and features 16 / 32 / 64GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The new device packs a 5,100 mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of video playback time, as well as built-in GPS receiver with support for Google Maps and other location-based services, and more.

On the back, the new device sports a 3-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and support for video recording, complemented by a 2MP camera on the front to enable video calling.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 was packed with a great deal of multimedia capabilities too, so as to provide users with an enhanced experience while on the go.
