Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE Spotted at FCC En-Route to Verizon
The tablet may arrive in stores within the next few weeks
Last week Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 with LTE support was spotted in Verizon Wireless’ inventory system, which pointed to an imminent launch at the Big Red.
It appears that the slate is even closer to release as the folks over at The Verge found out that the tablet appeared at FCC (Federal Communications Commission) pending approval for Verizon’s 4G LTE bands and the CDMA bands.
The tablet is expected to arrive with Android 3.2 Honeycomb on board, as well as TouchWiz UX user interface on top. Aside LTE support, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 packs a 1.4 GHz dual-core Exynos processor, a Mali-400MP GPU, 16GB storage, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
There are no details on the tablet’s release date yet, but it’s likely to arrive in stores within the next few weeks.
