The Galaxy Tab 620, also known as Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, is available for purchase in India since the beginning of the week, but the Korean handset manufacturer officially announced the availability of the tablet only recently.

However, Samsung India states that the Galaxy Tab 620 should be priced at Rs 30,250 (585 USD or 460 EUR), whereas the slate can be purchased for a lot less from various retailers across the country.

For example, Flipkart sells the Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 for Rs 26,499 (510 USD or 400 EUR) outright, while other retailers offer the tablet for around Rs 26,990 (520 USD or 410 EUR).

It appears that the folks at AndroidOS found out that the cheapest Galaxy Tab 620 can be purchased via Letsbuy for just Rs 25,900 (500 USD or 395 EUR).

Unveiled last year in October, Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 aka Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is powered by Android 3.2 Honeycomb platform with TouchWiz UX user interface on top. Still, Samsung already confirmed plans to upgrade the tablet to Ice Cream Sandwich sometime this year.

The slate has a crisp 7-inch PLS LCD capacitive touchscreen that boasts 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and 16 million colors support.

The Galaxy Tab 620 is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos 4210 CPU, a Mali-400MP graphics processing unit, 16 GB or 32 GB storage, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Tablets are uniquely positioned to offer consumers an enhanced converged communications experience and enable them to manage their work and life while on the move. The Galaxy Tab 620 with its powerful processor, next generation OS, stylish design and intelligent value added applications make this a faster, lighter and smarter device,” said Ranjit Yadav, country head, Mobile and IT, Samsung India.
