One of Samsung's unannounced mid-range tablets, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 showed up in the Bluetooth certification database, indicating its launch is imminent.

We have been hearing about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series ever since before MWC 2014. The triad of tablets has been leaked on-line showing a fair amount of specifications and most of us expected them to make an appearance in Barcelona.

But Samsung probably didn't want the relatively unimpressive Galaxy Tab 4 line-up to be overshadowed by the Galaxy S5 smartphone which also was introduced at the event, so it put off the official launch.

Nevertheless, given these aren't flagship devices, we shouldn't expect Samsung to make a big announcement when the time comes, but rather the tech giant will probably quietly slip them in retail some way or another.

Anyway, the launch date of the humble cousins of the premium Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO is getting near. We have seen the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 4 with LTE in tow pay a visit to the FCC not so long ago and the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 4 was also spotted going in the portal to be granted approval.

The only slate in the line-up that lacked visibility up to this point was the Galaxy Tab 7.0. Well, the tablet going by model number SM-T230 has finally showed up online, in the Bluetooth database, signaling it is ready to be certified. That means the tablet trio can’t be far off from being launched into the world.

Samsung unintentionally confirmed the tablets were indeed coming, by listing them as being compatible with the latest wearables the company has put on the market.

Anyway from previous leaks, the new 7-incher is supposed to arrive in three distinct flavors, including Wi-Fi (SM-T230), 3G (SM-T231) and LTE (SM-T235).

The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is sporting a 7-inch TFT LCD WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (improved to the earlier version that only had 1024 x 700).

In the power and performance department, it was revealed some while ago the slate would come equipped with a decent quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip and will run Android 4.4. KitKat out the box.

The same can be said for the 8-inch and 10-inch versions, so as you can see there’s nothing here to leave you breathless. We expect these slates to be priced with decent rates, but judging by the fact that Samsung’s wallet-friendly Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 currently sells for an overpriced $159.99 / €116, the outcome might be bleak for these tablets, as well.
