The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 has finally showed its face into the sunlight by appearing in a press render image, after months of being in the rumor mill.

We have been hearing about Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 line-up for a while now and have been expecting to see the tablets appear at MWC 2014. However, the slates failed to make an appearance.

Samsung probably didn't want relatively unimpressive Galaxy Tab 4 tablet bunch to be overshadowed by the launch of the Galaxy S5 smartphone, which was introduced at the event.

Therefore, some people were wondering whether the Galaxy Tab 4 line-up will be making it out into retail at all. After all, Samsung seemed to be having its hands full in the tablet department, as the tech giant had just released the enterprise bound Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO tablets.

But a leaked advertisement sheet for Samsung’s new wearables finally confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Tab 4, by citing compatibility with the Gear line-up.

For those who don’t know, the Galaxy Tab 4 bunch is composed of three models, coming in 7-, 8- and 10.1-inches flavors. So far, their specs have been leaked online with various variations, but we never got to see what they might look like.

But now serial leakster @evleaks has posted a render of the upcoming tablet, showing the face of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 for the first time. The image confirms Samsung will be sticking with its traditional tablet design, so the physical home button as well as capacitive back and multitasking buttons are kept on the front of the tablet, like always.

Not many details are visible in the images, but the power and volume are visible on the right, while the front camera is housed on top.

According to previous information, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will become available with a 7-inch HD display (rumored to be AMOLED) with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Power will be pumped by virtue of a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor combined with 1GB of RAM and backed-up by just 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

There will two cameras on board (3MP on the back and 1.3MP up in front), a 445 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat the operating system running out of the box.

We expect to see Samsung launch the tablet in three flavors, including Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE. We don’t have any info about the availability date, but judging by the press render, Sammy might pull the veil off it on April 24.

Update: @evleaks has posted the white version of the tablet as well.
