Samsung is gearing up to launch three new lower-range tablets at the end of April

Last week, after seeing the first press renders of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 appear into the wild, it was time for the largest member of the upcoming Galaxy Tab line-up to make an appearance.

The ever faithful @evleaks has posted two pictures detailing the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 in both white and black paint jobs.

As with the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Samsung appears to keep everything like we know it, but there are some visible differences compared to the last generation.

The overall design of slate features less pronounced round angles and instead of the menu button, Samsung has added a multi-tasking button.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and its other two brothers have been in the news for a while now. The tablets’ specifications have been made available via leaks and we have been expecting Samsung to make an announcement regarding the new models at MWC 2014, but we all know they failed to materialize.

Samsung was probably holding off on announcing the tablets, for fear of overshadowing them with the launch of the Galaxy 5S smartphone. Even so, these are not flagship models, so we shouldn't except Samsung to make a big flashy introduction.

The tablets will probably be launched quietly by virtue of a press release. Anyway for those who don’t remember, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is expected to arrive with a 10.1-inch screen and an average 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The power house of the tab will be a 1.2GHz quad-core processor combined with 1.5GB of RAM and backed-up by 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

The Korean tech giant will also offer dual cameras onboard (8MP on the back and 2MP in front) and keeping everything alive will be a 6800 mAh battery. Samsung will launch the tablet in three distinct versions – Wi-Fi only (SM-T530), 3G (SM-T531) and LTE (SM-T535).

As spotted in the renders of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, in the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 images, we notice a date frozen on the screen, which might be an indication of when Samsung wants to officially launch the new tablet triad.

So, mark April 24 in your calendar if you are interested in finding out when you can purchase one of these lower-range tablets. We don’t have any information about pricing, just yet, but we hope Samsung will offer them with an appropriate rate, since the specifications aren't all that impressive.
