Samsung also plans to launch three new color options for the adult version of the slate

Yesterday I told you that three new color options for the Samsung Tab 3 Lite have been spotted in Sammy’s Latin America website, including Blue Green, Peach Pink and Lemon Yellow.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is a tablet that sells for a cheaper price than the original Tab 3, but also bundles less powerful specs. It might be the most affordable slate you can purchase from Samsung, but the device comes with an unimpressive spec list and, in my opinion, it is actually a bit overpriced.

Sensing the tablet won’t get much traction with consumers, Samsung has apparently found a clever way to market the device. The Korean tech giant is offering the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite as a dedicated tablet for kids in China with a retail price of around $175 / €127, Vr-Zone reports.

Now, how can you tell this is a kid’s tablet? First off, it’s going to be available in two cheerful colors (either pink or blue pastel) and, like Sammy’s Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, it is going to be equipped with Samsung’ Kid Mode soft which offers a simple, clean interface, parental controls and a plethora of educational apps to choose from.

In China, parents and kids will also be able to tap into children’s eBooks subscription services for free in first few months since the purchase. The Wi-Fi only tablet will arrive in China in early March, but at this point we can’t tell you if the kiddie slate will make it to other markets, as well.
