Samsung unveiled the tablet last month, after CES 2014

Recently, Samsung began selling its premium GalaxyPRO and TabPRO line of tablets in markets like US and UK, at chunky price-tags.

Obviously these tablets aren’t for everybody but to counter that, Sammy is now offering the budget Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 too.

US customers can grab it now off the Samsung official website for the budget-friendly price of $159.99 / €116.

As expected, nothing about this tablet will knock your teeth out. The 7-incher is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (apparently a Marvel PXA986) combined with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage.

Don’t hope for anything too juicy in the display department either, as the tablet has a low 1024 x 700 resolution. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, but Samsung will probably update it to Android 4.4 KitKat at some point.

Even if there’s nothing special about the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0, the fact the slate comes from Samsung might draw-in a lot of customers.
