Galaxy Tab 3, the 7-inch Android-based tablet PC that Samsung unveiled to the world roughly a week ago, has already received the necessary approvals from the FCC, although only with Wi-Fi connectivity packed inside.

The slate is expected to arrive on shelves with 3G / 4G connectivity inside as well, though the Wi-Fi-only variant will hit the market in the beginning, it seems.

Galaxy Tab 3 was unveiled with a 7-inch WSVGA (1,024 x 600) TFT touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor packed inside, and with 8GB / 16GB of internal memory.

The specs list of the device also includes a 3-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.3MP front camera, microSD memory card slot, and a 4000 mAh battery. It runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

According to Engadget, the 3G flavor of the device will arrive on the market sometime in June.
