Samsung has new models on the market, but the Tab 3 8.0 remains a worthy product

Samsung launched its very first 8-inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 back in June 2013, and not long after that, it offered the device in the UK with a price tag of £279 / $456 / €335.

And if for some reason you haven’t been able to purchase one until now, you should know that PC World is currently offering it with a neat £80 / $131 / €96 discount.

Despite not being the most recent slate there is, the Tab 3 8.0 remains a good product. It comes equipped with an 8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and draws power from an Exynos 4212 chipset with two 1.5GHz CPUs, combined with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-400MP GPU.

Furthermore, we have two cameras (5MP camera with autofocus on the back and 1.3MP frontal snapper), 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD) and a 4,450 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The device ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and features Samsung’s customized TouchWiz user interface. An update for Android 4.3 is expected to arrive in the near future.
