Samsung doesn’t usually offer a clear roadmap of when it’s going to roll out major update for its Android devices, despite being one of the biggest device manufacturer in the world.

Nevertheless, sources familiar with the matter, reported by Phandroid claim Sammy is planning to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat update to a bunch of devices in the near future.

I’ll be mentioning here the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-t217a) and Galaxy Note 8.0 (SGH-i467) tablets, which will breathe new life with this software improvement.

The report doesn’t go on to lift the veil off a possible date for when this might happen. The roll out is very likely to happen gradually, meaning not all devices will be getting the update at the same time. So stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted when that might happen.
