Samsung has finally released the Galaxy Tab 3 210 in India, about four months after its official announcement. Although the South Korean company launched the 3G version of the slate back in July, customers had to wait almost two months to be able to buy the Wi-Fi model.

The Galaxy Tab 3 210 doesn’t bring anything new on the market, instead it offers a cheap alternative for Android fans looking for a less expensive tablet.

According to Fonearena, the tablet is now available for purchase via online retailer Snapdeal for only Rs 12,399 ($190/€140) outright. However, we expect more authorized resellers to start offering the Galaxy Tab 3 210.

Unlike the Galaxy Tab 3 211, the new model does not feature 3G support and SIM card slot, but users will be able to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi connectivity.

Also known as Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 P3210, the tablet has been released with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. There’s no word yet on any plans to update the slate’s software to Android 4.2, but Galaxy Tab 3 210 surely meets the minimum hardware requirements.

The tablet is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The latter can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Keep in mind that while Samsung has announced that multiple versions of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will be available for purchase, Android fans in India can only grab the 8GB model for now.

Other highlights of the tablet include a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 600 x 1024 pixels (170 ppi) resolution and 16 million colors, a 3-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and 720p video recording, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
