South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung came to the market last year with a 7-inch tablet PC running under Google's Android operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and some info on a possible successor to that device has just emerged.

The rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 can be seen in the video below, though you won't be able to watch it in action.

However, the full specifications list of this device allegedly surfaced on the Internet too, and you can find them below. Just keep in mind that nothing on Galaxy Tab 2 was confirmed officially until now, and that things might turn out differently when the tablet PC is announced officially.

Among the supposedly leaked specs of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, we can count a 7-inch Super-AMOLED touchscreen display, which was previously rumored to be a Super AMOLED Plus, and which should boast a 2048 x 1200 pixel resolution.

The device is rumored to include an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, which is surprising, since Samsung would have its own dual-core processors, but somehow expected.

The upcoming tablet PC should also include a Gorrila Glass screen 3G connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v3.0 capabilities, and a USB Port.

Rumor has it that Samsung might pack it with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED flash and 1080p video recording capabilities, and with a 3MP camera on the front for video recording.

Other specs of Galaxy Tab 2 would include 1GB of RAM, along with 64 GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass and Barometer would also be included into the mix.

Another interesting feature of the new device would be the fact that it should run under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, though it is expected to taste Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

As soon as this OS version would land on Galaxy Tab 2, users would enjoy a 3D Display on it, though specific info on it lacks at the moment.

According to a recent article on oled-info, chances are that Samsung might not be able to release the tablet PC with 7" Super-AMOLED displays, as they aim for a fast release, and the screens won't be ready in due time, so they might use the same panels as on the original Galaxy Tab.

For the time being, we'll take all the info on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with a grain of salt, though we'll keep our fingers crossed for the rumor to pan out. Stay tuned for more info on it.
