It looks like Samsung India has started to deploy the Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 tablet.

The slate is also known in the country as Galaxy Tab 2 310 and was initially launched with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box.

According to AndroidOS, the update is pushed through OTA (over the air), but is also available via Samsung Kies desktop software.

Those who wish to avoid mobile data charges or do not have access to a stable Wi-Fi connection may want to choose to update via Kies, as the file is about 360 MB in size.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 owners that have yet to be notified on the update can manually check for it by going to Settings / About tablet / Software update.
