The smartphone packs a 4-inch screen, 1GHz Cortex A5 processor

A new Samsung smartphone is now available for purchase in India, namely the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro, with a price tag of Rs. 6,989 ($112 / €83) attached to it.

Just as its price suggests, the device is an entry-level smartphone, featuring a 4-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution and dual-SIM capabilities.

Furthermore, it packs a 1GHz Cortex A5 processor inside, along with 512MB of RAM. Galaxy Star Pro also features 4GB of internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Samsung also included a 3-megapixel camera on the back of this device, fonearena notes. At the same time, the phone sports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi-Direct, Bluetooth v 3.0, and 2G (EDGE) connectivity.

Galaxy Star Pro runs under Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1500mAh battery. The smartphone can be purchased through online retailer HomeShop18.
