CES 2015 is knocking on our door, but weirdly enough this year the leak machine hasn't provided us with a lot of rumors related to what new products we’re going to be seeing during the event.

Well, before you start jumping to conclusions like there’s nothing too massive scheduled to be unveiled during the event, hold your thought.

Samsung Galaxy S6 might be outed at CES 2015

According to a new report coming to us via Korean media and relayed by G for Games, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 flagship smartphone will make a debut at CES 2015 in Las Vegas during the first days of January.

If you follow the industry, you might remember the soon-to-be older-gen Galaxy S5 got announced in February 2014 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

So it shouldn't come as surprise that almost a year later Samsung decides to lift the veil off its next-gen flagship. And CES 2015 is a huge event, everybody is following in close proximity, which will ensure Sammy gets enough attention for its product.

Korean analysts seem to be pretty confident Samsung will bring the Galaxy S6 out at CES 2015. Not only that but a more “edgier” version of the handset dubbed SGS6, will also be joining.

The smartphone will arrive boasting a dual-edge display, something akin the Galaxy Note 4 Edge smartphone that got introduced at IFA 2014 (with a single edge).

The two models are said to be launched on the market a little bit earlier, because Samsung wants to get a little ahead of the competition.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has already popped in AnTuTu a while ago, so its specifications leaked into the wild some time ago.

Samsung Galaxy S6 spec roundup

The smartphone should arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD display (translates into 2560 x 1440 pixel res), a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor fitted with Mali-T760 graphics processing unit plus 3GB of RAM. The device will pack 32GB of internal memory (no mention of SD card though).

According to the leak, Samsung has decided to upgrade its rear-facing camera’s abilities, so the Galaxy S6 will boast a 20-megapixel camera on the back that will arrive with LED flash, autofocus and video recording.

Up in the front, we’re going to find a 5MP camera to be utilized for taking selfies and video calls. Last but not least, the flagship should make its way into the wild with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard, with Samsung’s own UI on top.

At this point we can only offer you speculation, so it remains to be seen if Samsung really decides to bring the Galaxy S6 out into the sunshine at CES 2015. In a few weeks, we’ll know for sure.
