Samsung is scheduled to unveil its next flagship, the Galaxy S6, during a press event that will take place on March 1 in Barcelona.

Countless things have been written about the phone and we already have the ensemble view when it comes to Samsung’s upcoming top-tier.

The most recent piece of information confirmed that the Galaxy S6 (codenamed EB-BG925ABE) will come bundling a 2,600 mAh battery, which seems pretty skimpy considering how feature-packed the phone will be.

Anyhow, so far we have seen a fair share of concepts showing us the purported face of the Galaxy S6, which have been build using leaked images of parts of the device and its accessories.

Samsung Galaxy S6 as a 3D printed mockup

Well, now designer Jermaine Smit has taken things to the next level and produced a mockup of the Galaxy S6 you can actually hold in your hand like a real device. He used a 3D printer to do so.

Smit took into consideration the rumored specifications of the phone, and as you can see in the videos embedded below, this is what he came up with.

The mockup is not yet complete and the designer continues to work on the prop which still needs a home button and a rear camera.

Smit sees Samsung employing the minimum bezel protocol, so according to his measurement the flagship’s display should measure 4.92-inches (with a pixel density of 569ppi).

In one on the videos you’ll see the designer compare the 3D model of the next-gen Samsung flagship with the soon-to-be-previous model, the Galaxy S5. And we can see, the upcoming device is a bit taller and thinner than the current Samsung top-of-the-line product.

If you followed our previous coverage on the topic, you probably know the Galaxy S6 is scheduled to go live at MWC 2015 in a few days.

And Smit hopes that he’ll be able to have a complete 3D replica of the Galaxy S6 a few days before that happens. We’ll alert you when that happens.

The Galaxy S6 is anticipated to be quite a powerful piece of gadgetry, coming with a 2K display, a 14nm Exynos 7420 chipset and 3GB of RAM.
